Subversive Sewer

{August 4, 2008}   Blech.

How do thee sucketh? Let us count the ways…

1. Wonky fit in the bust

2. Interfacing wrinkled up after washing even though it’s Palmer/Pletsch

3. Armholes are way too big

4. Keyhole opening’s facing won’t lie flat

5. Waste of some really cute buttons and several hours of my life

I think that about covers it. However, feel free to add to the list.  ETA:  This is Simplicity 2927.

What pattern is this one, you don’t say.

I’m sorry this turned out to be a wadder. I’d like to make this, so I’ve been reading up on the reviews. It kind of sounds like a PITA. Even though you used P/P interfacing, it still has to be pre-shrunk or it wads up. A good, cheap interfacing I found that does not need preshrunk is pellon “Pro-something” I can’t remember the full name right now, and I don’t know where I got it because none of my local fabric stores carry it. I really like it, so if you find it somewhere, grab some and give it a try!
